What is Personal Construct Psychology?#
Personal Construct Psychology (PCP), originating in the 1950s, was developed by George A. Kelly, taking the whole person as the subject, rather than some fragment of the person’s psychological functioning.
Since then, a variety of forms of psychotherapy have been derived from his theory, and there is a substantial evidence base for the effectiveness and value of these approaches with individuals across the age spectrum, couples and families presenting with a wide range of psychological and physical problems.
The Spring School#
The Trust supported the spring school of the University of Padua’s Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling programme, held at the University of Hertfordshire, with grants that covered students’ lodging costs.
