The 2025 call, as published
The Personal Construct Education Trust announced six grants to support students enrolling on the Postgraduate Course in Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling at the University of Padua: two grants of £250 each, sponsored and established by the Personal Construct Psychology Association in memory of Dennis Bury, and four grants of €800 each, offered by the Trust. Applicants could apply for both types of grant. The deadline for applications was 5 October 2025.
The purpose of these awards was to assist with course fees and to encourage participation in this programme, which continues to advance the study and practice of Personal Construct Psychology.
Purpose and benefits
Purpose. To advance the education of the public in general, and particularly students, on the subject of Personal Construct Psychology and psychotherapy, by awarding to persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher, further or community education to undertake study of this subject.
Benefits. By providing grants to educational establishments and individual students, the extension of educational opportunities that will provide for the training of individuals in a range of fields, including helping professions, in an evidence-based psychological approach. By providing research grants, extension of the evidence base for this approach.
How applications are assessed
Grants support candidates who have a demonstrable need and would not otherwise be able to undertake their programme of study or research. The trustees consider all applications and decide on the allocation of funds in accordance with the purposes set out in the Trust Deed. Candidates are asked to show how they expect to operate for the public benefit on completion of their course, educational experience or research activity, through a questionnaire, an interview and references.
