We want everyone to be able to read this website and find what they need, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

How accessible this website is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, level AA. In practice that means:

• every page works without JavaScript and without a mouse;
• text and background colours have been checked for contrast, in both light and dark themes;
• text can be enlarged to 200 per cent, and the layout adapts down to a 320-pixel-wide screen;
• headings, lists and links are marked up so that screen readers can navigate them;
• photographs have text descriptions;
• there is nothing that moves, flashes or plays automatically.

Known limitations

• Some older photographs are low resolution and may look soft on high-density screens.
• The site is currently available in English only. Other languages are planned.
